محافظ الهيئة السعودية للمواصفات والمقاييس والجودة يناقش التنافسية الاقتصادية مع قادة الأعمال

Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi, Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), recently engaged with business leaders at the Federation of Saudi Chambers. The meeting included Hassan bin Muajeb Al-Huwaizi, heads of national committees, foreign business councils, and company representatives. Dr. Al-Qasabi highlighted the importance of private sector collaboration in enhancing the national quality system, boosting economic competitiveness, and improving trade and industry environments.

Al-Qasabi noted significant advancements in legislation, standards, and technical practices within the national quality system. These improvements have increased confidence in Saudi products, enabling them to compete regionally and internationally. He stressed that ongoing cooperation between SASO and the Federation of Saudi Chambers is vital for bolstering trust in the national market and safeguarding consumers through joint efforts in developing standards.

The Governor outlined SASO's objectives to position Saudi Arabia among the top 15 countries on the Quality Infrastructure Index and achieve a product non-conformity rate below 12%. Services offered to empower the private sector include consultations, quality marks, conformity certificates, laboratories, industrial calibration, training, standards development, and membership opportunities.

Dr. Al-Qasabi reaffirmed SASO's dedication to continuous development and strengthening partnerships with private sector entities. This commitment aligns with Vision 2030 goals to build a more competitive and sustainable economy. The Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers praised SASO's role in consumer protection, supporting economic establishments, and enhancing industrial efficiency.

The Chairman emphasized that SASO is a strategic partner for the private sector and a vigilant guardian of industry, trade, and services' future. He highlighted the significance of this partnership in consolidating competitiveness and elevating national products amid an era focused on quality standards. The Federation remains committed to working closely with SASO for national economic benefits.
